Breakfast Seminar - CoreValve, How European Market development created company valuation?

Oct 28, 2011
Palo Alto (California)

Breakfast Seminar: CoreValve –

How European Market Development Created Company Valuation to be held at the WSGR Campus in Palo Alto.

CoreValve has been a transatlantic med-tech venture . The innovation came from France, the company was established in the US, the initial development was done in Europe, and then finally was acquired by a US company. In this breakfast seminar we will have the opportunity to hear from two influential stakeholders in the CoreValve story. HealthCap Partner Johan Christenson, one of the European Investors and Board Members at CoreValve will speak about the ownership perspectives of why and how CoreValve developed the market in Europe. Following this, Rob Michiels, co-founder of CONSILIUM Associates, current CEO of CardiAQ™ Valve Technologies, and former COO and board member of CoreValve prior to its acquisition by Medtronic in 2009 will speak from the company perspective. He will also share some of his experience in evaluating market opportunities, accessing global markets and executing a global strategy to create market value. This will be followed by an update about the current reimbursement/market access perspectives of TAVI presented by Mattias Kyhlstedt from Synergus.

In conclusion Johan Christenson will lead a discussion, including a Q&A session, on how to build value in MedTech companies through a European execution strategy
