Germany is the largest market for Medical Devices in Europe and has many times proven to be the quickest market to adopt new technologies in the reimbursement system. In this breakfast seminar Dr Martin Braun, the head of the Medical Dept at InEK (2003-2010) managing the German DRG-system, will cover the following points:

Dr Martin Braun is a specialist in internal medicine/gastroenterology/diabetology. He has completed post graduate studies in health management at Heidelberg/Mannheim University as well as further education in quality management (the German medical association).

Until 2000 he was a senior physician at the Ansbach clinic. 2001 he moved over to the German Hospital Association, Düsseldorf, where in 2002 he was the deputy head of the department for medicine. From 2003 to 2010 he was the head of the Medical Department at InEK GmbH, Siegburg. Since January 2011, he is working as an associate consultant for Synergus.

Graham Stokoe was previously the Director of Health Economics & Public Affairs at Boston Scientific International. Other positions included Director Public Policy Guidant Europe and General Manager of Guidant UK, Ireland & Nordic. With more than 25 years experience Graham now specializes in medical device reimbursement and the role of HTA. Previous responsibilities included chairing the Eucomed Economic Affairs Group (formerly Funding & Reimbursement Focus Group). He also co-chaired a European Society of Cardiology Cardiovascular Roundtable (CRT) Task Force focusing on improving patient access to medical technologies across Europe.
